The first phase of the project focuses on late-antique pagan prose works; no freely accessible online database is available for these texts. All the website features, except Beta coding, are active in this initial release of the website. A small selection of texts is provided: fourth century works on Alexander the Great (Iulius Valerius, Res gestae Alexandri Macedonis, Itinerarium Alexandri, Collatio Alexandri et Dindimi, Epitoma rerum gestarum Alexandri Magni, De morte testamentoque Alexandri) and a collection of technical and scientific works (ps. Plinius - De medicina, Cetius Faventinus, Gargilius Martialis - Medicinae ex holeribus et pomis, ps. Antonius Musa). Each text is accompanied by a brief introduction and a bibliography. La storiografia latina del IV secolo d.C., Torino, Giappichelli, 1990.
Supported by the digilital library digilibLT, from 27 to 31 January 2014 a school devoted to the use of LaTeX for producing printed critical editions will be taught in Vercelli, Dipartimento di Studi Umanistici, Universtà del Piemonte Orientale. The school obtained funds from EADH - European Association for Digital Humanities through the "Small Grants 2013" call, and is endorsed by AIUCD (Associazione per l'Informatica Umanistica e la Cultura Digitale.
Given the complexity it its subject, the school will start with 2 days devoted to "basic LaTeX", taught by Claudio Beccari (Politecnico di Torino and LaTeX GuIT), which will be followed by 3 days for "philological LaTeX" which will be taught by Guido Milanese (latin scholar of Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore).
